I can taste its arrival. Ominous, Yet sweet and refreshing. Its wet droplets kiss my skin And the buildings around me, Their windows, too. Abrupt sounds and flashes in the sky. Alarming at first, But surprisingly enticing. With each bang and spark, I'm drawn into the show above me. Completely soaked in the anguished sky’s tears, I watch the show from inside, Awaiting the best part. The clouds part, Going their separate ways. What's left is the glorious sun, stray tears of the sky, And a light rainbow. |
