Oh how I love the Miami Winter!
The wintry water turning one’s feet to icicles,
And the luminous sun, once a scorching disaster,
staring us down with it’s thermal rays cutting through the frigid air.
As the brisk breeze walks marches towards Miami,
I pose this question :
How many layers of jackets, shirts, or long sleeves are TRULY enough?
Dipping below 70, this wintry winter ushers
Two kinds of people in this polar weather:
The ones who can’t bare to move without their boots, and the vast layers of clothes they equip,
And those who unzip, with their shorty shorts and short sleeve shirts.
We all can’t forget about
The Starbucks drinks that happen at this time.
From The Peppermint Mocha, Eggnog Latte, and the Flat White with Cinnamon Spice--
It sure helps us Miamians through this dreaded cold.
But all good comes to an end,
And in its typical afternoon, it goes back to a boiling 80 degrees again.
Fleeting short our winter escapade,
Just like any other Miami Winter day.
